Flower from the Universe is een zwevende interactieve lichtinstallatie waarin mens en plant elkaar ontmoeten.

Via sensoren reageert de bloem op de kleuren van bezoekers. Iedere aanwezigheid laat een spoor achter; kleuren vermengen zich en vormen samen een voortdurend veranderend lichtlandschap. Zo ontstaat een beeld dat nooit hetzelfde is en alleen kan bestaan door ontmoeting.

In het hart van de bloem bevindt zich een neuron: symbool voor de uitwisseling tussen organisme en omgeving. Zoals een zenuwcel signalen ontvangt en doorgeeft, neemt Flower from the Universe haar omgeving waar en antwoordt met licht. Technologie wordt hier geen doel op zich, maar een middel om de verbondenheid tussen mens en natuur ervaarbaar te maken.
