Titia Ex is a visual artist specializing in light art in the public realm. She studied film and photography at the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam and was an artist-in-residence at Musashino Art University in Tokyo. Her early experiments as a choreographer of light, time, and space began in the theatre. This interdisciplinary approach continues to form the core of her artistic practice.

Titia Ex is beeldend kunstenaar, gespecialiseerd in lichtkunst in de openbare ruimte. Deze wandelingen maken thema’s als stedelijke gezondheid, ecologie en technologie op een directe en zintuiglijke manier ervaarbaar en stimuleren een bewuste relatie tussen mens en leefomgeving.

Stadslichtmeester van Amsterdam
Haar ervaring met licht en donker vormt de basis voor haar rol als stadslichtmeester van Amsterdam. Vanuit deze positie laat zij zien hoe verbeelding kan functioneren als katalysator voor bewustwording en verandering, en hoe licht en duisternis bijdragen aan een duurzame en leefbare stad.
